Over one hundred fiberglass statues-in-white, and a single red pegaso for Peter Max, were decorated by artists sponsored by Dallas businesses and philanthropists. These were to be displayed as street art in various locations around the city.

I always felt that the unadorned white statues were far more attractive than any of the “finished” products. Years later I met Ken Robison, the Texas sculptor who created who created these wonderful fantasy horses.

To my amazement Ken had no website showing his highly varied work. As a token of my admiration for Ken and for Pegasus I created this simple portfolio site. The site is unadorned to better feature the art, and, is organized to be easily updated and maintained by non-technical people.

One unusual feature of the site’s theme is that the background color can be changed from dark to light by clicking the buttons at top right of the homepage; see which you prefer here.

Mindful of budget, and needing to ramp-up web lead flow without delay, I retained the SBC hosting and Bell’s graphics design.  The “used-car-sales” content style had to go, however, and was completely replaced with accurate, comforting copy that motivated website visitors to call. My locally focused Organic Search Engine Optimization provided targeted traffic that turned this modest Southwestern-Bell-template-site into a marketing star!

Within a month the client commented “I don’t know what you’ve done, but now I have almost too much business. I don’t know if I want to work that hard!” The client subsequently terminated his Yellow Pages advertising in two different city directories saving several hundred dollars per month. He now relies on this simple website as his practice’s sole marketing vehicle. Oh! That and a single line listing of his telephone phone number in the phone book!
